How to use this tool

  1. Choose a file on this device. Pick an image from your computer or phone. The file stays in this browser tab.
  2. Set size or quality. Use the sliders and format controls. A preview is shown when the tool can make one.
  3. Download the new file. Save the result. The original on disk is not overwritten.

Guides

Optional rule-of-thirds lines sit on the preview. They are not burned into the export. Pixel readouts show the crop in source coordinates.

Privacy

Files never leave the device. Only the cropped pixels are written into the download.

Frequently asked

Can I crop to a circle?

Crop square first, then use Rounded Corners with a full radius for a circular PNG.

Does crop reduce file size?

Usually, because fewer pixels remain. Run the compressor if you still need a smaller encode.

Can I nudge the box by one pixel?

Yes. Arrow keys move the selection after you click it.

What happens outside the box?

Those pixels are discarded in the export. The source file on disk is unchanged.

Are print DPI settings applied?

No. This crop is pixel-based. Set print size in your layout tool.
