Clock faces sometimes use IIII. This converter emits IV.

Can I convert a copyright year?

Yes, if it is between 1 and 3999.

Are lowercase letters accepted?

Yes. Output is uppercase.

What about Unicode Roman characters?

ASCII letters I V X L C D M are expected.

Does it accept IM for 999?

No. Non-standard subtractive forms are rejected on decode.
